SECOND SIGHT #27 NEW POWER

The cover for the next issue of Second Sight Magazine is finished. It’s about NEW POWER. And the day we had to bring this issue to the printer, we heard that Steve Jobs died. Steve Jobs, a visionary of our time and a true metaphor of new power: passion and mission driven, he had the guts to follow his intuition, becoming the engineer of number one brands like Apple and Pixar. That’s what power is today!

At first sight this issue is about interesting developments in technology, in the automotive industry, in renewable energy sources –  solar, wind. But this issue reaches far beyond technical developments. We get smarter about energy. It’s about old, sometimes forgotten, sources of power as well: human power, the power of health, the power of storytelling and the power of nature’s system in the world.

In this issue you’ll find interviews with Kevin Kelly (Wired etc), Warner Philips (Lemnis), Chris Collet (MINI, BMWi), Wilbert van den Bosch (Rabobank), John Faye (ABN Amro), Nalden and Kentroy Yearwood en Tschagsalmaa Borchuu (Thos), there are interesting contributions from Mozilla’s  WebFWD director Pascal Finette, Farid Tabarki (Studio Zeitgeist), Truus Dokter (ItFits/ Peclers), Peter van Gorsel and Marjolein Wintjes (De Culinaire Werkplaats).

We print this issue in a limited edition of 1000 copies.
